OUR BESPOKE APPROACH
Bespoke is a workflow, not just a label. From an inspiration, through sketches and drawings
to precision cutting the frames to the millimetre and upholstering with specified finishing
details.
When a client approaches us with an idea, we discuss design and dimensions and work
through drawings until a final template is agreed. Then we move from paper to timber.
Our frame-makers cut the prototype in solid beech. At this stage our client can tip the chair
up, check joints, and literally walk around the geometry, giving us the opportunity to refine
and perfect every curve and contour.
The approved frame is then upholstered in a neutral FR barrier cloth. This 8blank canvas9
lets us sit test the new chair - check the seat crown and feel, lumbar support and the rake of
the back in relation to the seat depth and height. Importantly, we prototype as much as
necessary before we commit to the final run. Once approved, we can green-light the
production.
